The Mormon Church has many teachings which are totally foreign to the beliefs held by Bible believing Christians. This ministry seeks to lovingly engage with those teachings from a Biblical perspective and to train and equip Christians to be able to have dialogue with Mormons whether they knock on your door, you have family or friends that are Mormon, or you meet them in your day to day life.
If you are a Mormon often I know you can see Ministries like this as hateful, seeking to destroy what you love and that our motivation must be driven by bad motives, false information or that we have been offended by a Mormon and are acting in some kind of revenge.
This is not the case at all I have never been offended by a Mormon at all, my experience has pretty much always been of a great set of people that genuinely believe and live out a code of belief that they deeply, truly hold too.
However as Paul said of the Jews in Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel (or Mormons) is, that they might be saved. I see in the Bible a Jesus that says come to ME we see in Luke 7:50 Jesus saying to someone who does this “Your Faith has saved you”. However I see in Mormonism a movement that says come to Jesus but through us. If you really want to be saved its by Grace…..but after all you can do (2 Nephi 25:23 Book of Mormon) This is not the Biblical Gospel.
That said I do not ever see Mormons, or Jehovah’s Witnesses or anyone from any other movement like this as my enemy, my battle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) but rather the forces at work behind all false teachings.
Therefore, this ministry seeks to share the truth in love with all those ‘whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.’ (2 Corinthians 4:4)
